Treatment/Program Description
We are actively recruiting treatment providers to participate in our upcoming research trial sponsored by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). The purpose of this study is to compare three standard training modes – an online training, instructor-led training, and treatment manual.

Randomized Control Trial (RCT) Details
- Participants will be randomly assigned to one learning condition:
- online training program OR
- text manual OR
- in-person workshop.
- Participants will receive:
- Free training by DBT experts who are supervised by Marsha M. Linehan, Ph.D., DBT treatment developer
- $200 for completing training and all associated assessments
- Continuing Education Credits (if eligible and fulfills CE board requirements)
- Opportunity to win cool prizes (IPod, night at a spa, online training)

Who is eligible?
- Treatment providers working with individuals who have substance use disorders OR
- Interns, students, residents, and other trainees who are on their way to becoming treatment providers
- Little or no prior exposure to DBT (training in DBT Skills is acceptable).
Participants must be available on January 24-25, 2008 to attend the scheduled workshop in Seattle, Washington if they are assigned to the workshop condition. |
