| Linda Dimeff, Ph.D. is Chief Scientific Officer for Behavioral Tech Research, Inc., an organization devoted to the dissemination of evidence-based practices (EBPs). She also holds an appointment as clinical faculty in the Department of Psychology at the University of Washington. Dr. Dimeff received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of Washington, where she specialized in prevention and treatment of addictive behaviors under the mentoring of G. Alan Marlatt, Ph.D., and in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), with Marsha M. Linehan, Ph.D. Dr. Dimeff collaborated with Dr. Linehan in the development of an adaptation of DBT for substance dependent individuals with borderline personality disorder, and is currently co-authoring a book with Dr. Linehan that describes this treatment. She continues her work as a research therapist on Dr. Linehan’s large research trials on DBT. Dr. Dimeff currently has five dissemination research grants through the National Institutes of Health. Over the years, Dr. Dimeff has written numerous theoretical and empirical papers in the areas of addictive behaviors, DBT, and dissemination, and is completing an edited collection of writings on adaptations of DBT to real world settings. Dr. Dimeff’s experience includes providing clinical supervision in DBT and other EBPs, as well as extensive training, supervision and consultation to large public sector systems in the implementation of DBT. |
