Pablo Galiesi, MD, graduated from the Catholic University of Cordoba and University of Buenos Aires. He is a specialist in Psychiatry at the National University of Buenos Aires, and graduated in Psychoanalytic, Systemic, and Cognitive-Behavioral psychotherapy. Dr. Gagliesi is DBT-LBC certified and certified in EMDR. He is the first official Trainer for Behavioral Tech in Latin America.
Dr. Gagliesi is a former Member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Cognitive Therapy of Argentina and the Association of Argentine Psychiatrists. Currently, Dr. Gagliesi is a teacher and supervisor of clinical postgraduate psychotherapy at Fundación Foro, University of Luján and Favaloro University and teacher and supervisor of the residents of psychiatry and psychology in the city of Buenos Aires. He is a former visiting scholar at Marsha Linehan’s lab at University of Washington Behavioral Research and Therapy Center.
Dr. Gagliesi has been disseminating DBT in Latin America and Spain for the last 15 years. He is globally recognized as a DBT expert who has coordinated implementation efforts and provided consultation, supervision, and mentorship throughout Latin America and the Spanish-speaking world. He is the Director of DBT Iberoamérica, an institution whose main objective is to spread DBT in the Spanish-speaking world by offering DBT training to mental health professionals. In 2019 he founded Tres Olas (www.tresolas.com) a publishing house that translates, edits, and publishes titles of recognized DBT authors and experts, among others. In 2018, with Lic. Juan Pablo Boggiano, Dr. Gagliesi published his first book, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, with a prologue by Dr. Marsha Linehan. In 2021, he published his second book, Sumar al Amor with Dr. Paula José Quintero. Both books can be found at Tres Olas.
