Janet Campbell, MSW has been working in mental health services for over 25 years. She has experience in community, adolescent residential, and hospital based mental health services, as well as the manager of the provincial Family Court Centre, which provided assessments to the courts in child protection matters. She was designated as a lead for implementation of Dialectical Behavior Therapy in child and youth mental health in British Columbia in 2008. She has provided training and consultation on DBT to community mental health teams, the provincial residential treatment centre, and youth forensic outpatient clinic staff, as well as community addictions workers. She has led the implementation of DBT with rural and urban child and youth mental health teams. Janet has a long history of training and mentoring graduate students and also supervising clinical supervisors and clinicians. Janet is currently the supervisor of a regional youth day treatment program which provides full DBT and she treats youth with suicidal behaviour.
