Helen McGough, MA, CIP, has been working in the field of medical and behavioral ethics for most of her professional life. In addition to her position as Institutional Review Board Director at a major U.S. university for 25 years, she has managed a non-profit early education program, taught at the university level in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the U.S., and conducted health-related socio-cultural research in Hong Kong and in the U.S. She has served on several non-profit boards and advisory committees, including Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research (PRIM&R), Interlake Early Childhood and Development Center, and Kaiser Permanente of Washington State. She is a firm believer in ethical conduct of research and practice, and supporter of the availability of mental health therapy to all who need it.
