Anne Cusack, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist and a DBT- Linehan Board of Certification, Certified Clinician™ who works with the UC San Diego Health College Mental Health Program, which provides specialty mental health services to the UC San Diego community.

She specializes in providing comprehensive DBT and evidence-based treatment to individuals with suicidal ideation, self-harm, emotion dysregulation, trauma, borderline personality disorder, eating disorders and obsessive compulsive disorder. She has expertise in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), DBT-prolonged exposure (DBT-PE), exposure and response prevention (EX/RP), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Dr. Cusack is experienced in providing individual, group, couples, and family therapy, as well as specific coaching related to eating concerns or crisis intervention. Her approach to care is to help her clients build a life worth living by building a genuine relationship, changing specific target behaviors and working collaboratively.

Prior to joining the College Mental Health Program, she was the co-director of the adult program at the UC San Diego Eating Disorders Center. In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Cusack has held various leadership positions within UC San Diego, which included managing the staffing of incoming patients, group and staff scheduling, creating policies and procedures related to clinical care, and leading the interdisciplinary treatment team. She also has a background in supervising and training graduate students, post-masters clinicians, and postdoctoral fellows. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at UC San Diego Health Eating Disorders Center for Treatment and Research and an APA-accredited predoctoral internship at Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital.

Dr. Cusack received her PsyD from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and completed a two-year DBT practicum at University of Chicago. Outside of work, Dr. Cusack enjoys spending time with her pup, visiting her hometown of Chicago, spending time with loved ones, hiking, traveling, playing board games and reading novels.
