Louisa M.C. van den Bosch, PhD, is principal of treatment of the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital ‘Oldenkotte’ in the Netherlands. She is a trained clinical psychologist and psychotherapist. She is engaged as individual DBT therapist and provides a variety of DBT intensives and workshops in Dutch, German, and French as a member of Behavioral Tech. She has implemented DBT in the Netherlands and has been the leader of the first DBT project in Amsterdam. She has conducted a randomized clinical trial on the efficacy of DBT, investigating the efficacy of DBT for substance abusing and non-substance abusing women in the Netherlands. She also teaches DBT at the University of Amsterdam. She founded the company Dialexis, the DBT training institute in the Netherlands. She is the translator of Marsha Linehan’s Skills Training Manual for Treating Borderline Personality Disorder (first edition) into Dutch and has published several articles and books on the subject of DBT.
