Marty Hoiness, M.D. is an Acting Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry and BehavioralSciences at the University of Washington. Dr. Hoiness is the medical director of two DialecticalBehavior Therapy clinics at Harborview Medical Center – a standard DBT program and a women’s dual diagnosis program. Dr. Hoiness has been trained and directly supervised byMarsha Linehan, Ph.D. and is currently a research therapist on Linehan’s NIMH grant (suicidal women with borderline personality disorder). Dr. Hoiness has provided consultation and super-vision to community mental health centers, inpatient psychiatric units, and individuals on the psychosocial and pharmacological treatment of people with borderline personality disorder.
