Samiram (Sami) Saghafi, PsyD is a licensed clinical psychologist in NY and PA working with adults and young adults in private practice. Dr. Saghafi has a longstanding history of researching and treating suicidality. Prior to beginning a doctoral program in clinical psychology, Dr. Saghafi obtained a master’s degree from the Catholic University of America and conducted research for the Suicide Prevention Lab under the supervision of David A. Jobes. She then provided DBT early in her doctoral training at La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA within a variety of settings, including community mental health clinics, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and college counseling centers. Dr. Saghafi later completed a postdoctoral fellowship under the supervision of Alec L. Miller, one of the leading experts in DBT for adolescents. She currently provides comprehensive DBT and lives in Pittsburgh, PA.
