Kimberly Vale, LCSW-R, is a licensed psychotherapist in Westchester County, New York, with more than 20 years of experience working with children and families. Her expertise includes crisis stabilization for youth in inpatient psychiatric settings and evidence-based outpatient treatment for individuals and families. Kimberly specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), focusing on children, adolescents, adults, and parenting interventions.

During her 15 years as a clinician at New York-Presbyterian Westchester Behavioral Health Center, Kimberly became a leading expert in adapting DBT for children with severe emotional and behavioral dysregulation (DBT-C). Trained by Dr. Francheska Perepletchikova, the developer of DBT-C, Kimberly continues to provide treatment, consultations, and training in collaboration with Dr. Perepletchikova to promote the global advancement of this DBT adaptation. Currently, Kimberly is a presenter and consultant for Behavioral Tech Institute, contributing to the worldwide dissemination of DBT. She presents at trainings, offers consultations to clinical teams, and educates communities through lectures and workshops. In addition, she supervises clinicians and provides parent management interventions to ensure the effective implementation of empirically-supported practices in both DBT for children and adolescents (DBT-C and DBT-A).

Kimberly earned her graduate degree with high honors from New York University. She is deeply committed to advancing evidence-based treatments for children, adolescents, and adults, offering consultations, training, and psychotherapy rooted in behavioral therapy principles.
